No less luxe than Bobby Chinn, but with a more decadent Asian aesthetic, Vine is a fashionable dining refuge and a culinary anchor in West Lake. The food and wine selection at Vine can be tailored to suite diverse tastes and budgets. Want a reliable California Merlot, a sassy South African Chenin Blanc or an illustrious Italian Barolo? Take your pick from the extensive wine list, with over 1,000 wines. While thankfully more compact than the wine list, the menu also offers diverse and interesting choices, ranging from Harris Ranch Filet Mignon, to a homey version of Mom’s Meatloaf, a Coq Au Vin and a Thai style pasta. This elegance and choice comes at a cost. The final bill for a gourmet dinner tasting menu, without beverages, is about US$75 a head. For a smaller dent in your budget, stop by for dessert and some wine by the glass.
Vine also melds art and food, with lacquer paintings by Pham Luc adorning the walls of the restaurant.
