Though not a restaurant or bar, (it's actually an expensive little western food shop) Le Beaulieu Gourmand deserves a mention here because it has the most authentic French baguettes and also has delicious French style Petit Fours and other confections. The small deli counter has sliced and pre-packaged meats and cheeses (and tinned foie gras) so you can easily put together a tasty snack to enjoy while sitting on a bench by the lake, or on the steps of the Opera House. There is also a small selection of pre-made sandwiches for eating on the go—these are simple, light and flavorsome.
