Green Tangerine Print E-mail

Green Tangerine is a favorite among Hanoi expats, serving up interesting innovations on classical French preparations, with hints of Vietnamese influences.  It is housed in a narrow colonial villa nestled in the heart of the Old Quarter, offering a little luxury and a quiet oasis for a fine meal.  In our experience, the simple classic preparations such as duck confit, pan fried sea bass, and beef filet or roasted lamb chops are reliable and excellent.  More experimental or audacious preparations, with too many ingredients or which deconstruct a classic dish, are far less predicatable.

Also the owner of the Cyclo Bar, which caters mainly to tourists, Stephane Yves wanted to create a relaxing place for expats to have their business lunches, escape their shopping forays into the Old Quarter, and enjoy innovative and reasonably priced food.  The prix fix lunch gives you a choice of entrée and dessert.  It’s a steal at $7 and if you are in Hanoi for a few days, you should find your way over.
