Coordinates: Overlooking the roundabout at the northwest corner of Hoan Kiem Lake, on the corner of the building on the south side of Cau Go Street. The entrance stairwell is a little hard to find. If you look up from the roundabout, facing east, you should see the signs on the building for Legends (on the 2nd floor) and Highlands (on the 3rd floor). Now that you have identified the building, go to the south side of it, facing the lake, and look for a wide stairwell, tucked back from the street (sometimes behind a few rows of motorbikes. |
Depending on if you are thirsty for a beer or a coffee, both of these are located on upper floors, sheltered from the chaos on the streets of the Old Quarter. From either venue, you can find a seat with good views either straight over Hoan Kiem Lake, or overlooking the pandemonium that is the traffic roundabout at the top of Hoan Kien Lake, with no less than six feeder streets.
